Music Therapy (RMT)
Delivered by a Registered Music Therapist, music therapy uses music as the tool to support goal areas such as communication, emotional regulation, motor skills, and attention. Sessions are not about learning music or being “good at it” – they focus on individual needs through creative and engaging activities.
  • Communication and social interaction through music-based play.
  • Emotional regulation and calming strategies.
  • Attention, engagement, and turn-taking skills.
  • Motor planning and coordination through rhythm and movement.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy provides a safe and creative space for children to explore. Areas for development include building emotional awareness and expression, and fine motor skills. No art skills are needed - the focus is on self‑expression, confidence, and wellbeing.
  • Emotional expression and self-awareness development.
  • Confidence and identity building through creativity.
  • Fine motor skills through hands-on art making.
  • Stress relief, coping tools, and wellbeing support.
Therapy Assistance (TA)
Therapy Assistance supports children to practise and strengthen skills between therapy sessions, guided by recommendations from their therapist. This may include play‑based activities, skill practice, and support in everyday environments such as home or kinder.
  • Practising therapy goals between sessions.
  • Building routines and functional skills in everyday settings.
  • Supporting carryover at home, kinder, or school.
  • Strengthening confidence through consistent skill practice.
Parent Coaching & Family Support
Parent Coaching and Family Support helps parents feel confident, supported, and clear on what to do next. We work alongside families to understand what’s happening, build practical strategies, and create simple routines that support progress between sessions.
  • Coaching and strategies tailored to your child and family routines.
  • Support with regulation, behaviour, and everyday challenges.
  • Helping parents feel confident and consistent at home.
  • Practical tools to support progress between sessions.
Group Programs
(Including LEGO®, cooking, social skills, and emotional regulation programs).

Group Programs provide a supportive space for children to practise skills with peers, build confidence, and feel connected. Programs are designed around real-life goals and delivered in a structured, calm environment that supports participation.
  • Social skills, communication, and confidence building.

Delivery Options

Clinic-based sessions
Our clinics are calm, sensory-friendly spaces designed to help children feel comfortable and ready to engage. With the full team under one roof, sessions are coordinated and consistent every time you visit.
Mobile outreach (home, school, kinder)
Sometimes the best place for therapy is where your child already feels safe. Our clinicians come to you, whether that's at home, school, or kinder, working within the environments that matter most to your child's everyday life.
telehealth
Quality care doesn't always require a clinic visit. Our telehealth sessions deliver the same warm, skilled support remotely, making therapy more accessible for families who are time-poor, live further away, or have children who do better from home.
Group or parent-based programs
Learning alongside others can be powerful. Our group and parent-based programs build skills, confidence, and community, giving children peer connection and giving parents practical tools they can use every day.

How It Works

Getting started is simpler than you might think. No long waits, no confusing paperwork. Just a straightforward path from your first enquiry to your child's first session.
01
Enquire
Get in touch by phone, email, or online form. No referral or diagnosis needed. Just tell us a little about your child and we'll take it from there.
02
Intake
We'll have a relaxed conversation to understand your child's needs, answer your questions, and map out the right services for your family.
03
sessions begin
Your child is welcomed into a connected team, all working from the same plan, with one shared goal: progress you can see and feel.
Do I need a diagnosis?

No. You don't need a formal diagnosis or referral to reach out to mayfield. If you have concerns about your child's development, that's enough. We'll help you work out the right next steps together.
